Sacred

In the ruthless world of hack slash, there Diablo ... and others. Difficult to get a place facing the blockbuster Blizzard thing had yet succeeded in Sacred 2. With its vast open world and gameplay perfectly suited for consoles, he seduced many players on PS3 and 360, yet less accustomed to the genre. The third episode will have experienced a chaotic development taken over by Keen Games following the bankruptcy of the developer announced second album and the last 4 years, he finally about to land here. At two months of its release, here are our first impressions of Sacred 3.

Sacred 3
So via a preview version we played for the first time in this third installment, which marks a real turning point for the series. And it should not appeal to everyone, making the Sacred 3 bet to abandon part of its role-playing elements to move towards a hybrid between slash hack and beat'em all . The open world disappears, giving way to more narrow and accessible via a mini-map areas. But with all that, there he was real news in Sacred 3? Indeed, there is something new in this release because for the first time in the series focus is on cooperative multiplayer mode, which we will discuss now.

Multiplayer to spend evenings Sacred?

It is therefore possible to play cooperatively to Sacred 3, and the first good point, this can be done with a friend locally. So you can play with your significant other, a member of your family or even your pet (if you have trained for it) in the same room, nice when the current propensity of publishers are known to suppress the local game. But if you intend to play 4, it will go through the online box. You are now in a very classic multiplayer, where each character has its own powers and abilities ... although everything is very rough and not very diverse, probably because of the smaller number of capabilities and appearance nag fighting. Two to three dodges and some well placed shots are enough to get rid of enemies. On this point, Sacred 3 brings a bit of novelty without surprise really, the fault too classic multiplayer that will occupy your evenings without really brighten .

It's a beat'em all, Sacred eyes!

Impossible to miss the obvious change in direction of Sacred: we mentioned to you in the first paragraph, but the title neglects much of the previous opus aspects: customizing your hero is almost non-existent, the great majority of loot no longer relates to the gold coins and the talent trees were planed. A change of direction, however, which is accompanied by a more dynamic gameplay execution of opponents, limited number of skills but a strong focus on spike ... Quite simply, we are facing more than a beat'em all a hack slash . A daring choice that could bring another dimension to the series ... But this is not the case. Yes, the gameplay is more dynamic, but it does not bring anything new to the genre, simply repeating some ideas right and left. You will have to interact with elements of decor or avoid some pitfalls between two sessions bourrinage, what vary a little fun without actually bring new life to this adventure.
Preview Sacred 3 PC - Screenshot 17Technically and artistically, the title is lagging behind.
The construction of a level is indeed simple: you choose an area on a map, go there, kill all the monsters including some intermediate boss in passing before concluding all on a final boss . During our progression through the various levels offered so we could gain experience and collect gold coins on the defeated enemies if experience allowed our character level up and gain access to skills, it is spending its precious funds that will unlock new powers. If we could see that the skills of lower levels, it is clear that the talent trees are less impressive than those of previous games. A final word on the technical aspect: the PC version of Sacred 2 had suffered numerous bugs, despite some slowdowns and stuttering excusable for this third installment alpha version seems to fare better. It may also be disappointed by the appearance of the title, which clearly lacks charm while technically perfected for a game in 2014, only saved by some cool effects for the peepers. Remains the offbeat dialogue that should you get a few smiles at your screen, a small consolation facing the disappointment resulting from this game session
